One UI 9 Reaches More Galaxy Devices: What Changes and What Depends on the Model

On September 16, Samsung began expanding the One UI 9 rollout, initially to Galaxy S26, S26+ and S26 Ultra devices after the interface reached its new foldable models. The company emphasizes that further rollout will be gradual. The announcement therefore does not mean the update is already waiting on every device.

The changes mainly concern familiar actions: video editing, document scanning, summarizing information and checking permissions. For Galaxy owners, the question is which will reach their model and in what language, not just what appears on the global feature list.

Less Manual Editing, More Information in One Place

My FanCam is intended to track a selected person in a recorded video and keep them centered. Now Brief gains cards that can be created and edited, while the Warranty and Care menu consolidates warranty and device care information. Samsung notes that some options require a Samsung account and that availability varies.

The practical value of tracking a person depends on the footage. In a crowded video, check that the tool stays with the right person when someone passes in front. Keeping a subject centered does not itself guarantee a successful video; sometimes what happens at the edges is an important part of the story.

Privacy Alerts Do Not Decide for You

The update includes Security Brief for consolidating alerts and Privacy Alerts for identifying possible privacy risks through on-device processing. These too are capabilities Samsung presents, not results of a security test we conducted.

When a permission alert appears, relate it to what you were doing. Camera access requested while taking a photo differs from the same request by an app not expected to take pictures. This context helps decide whether to revoke permission, change a setting or examine the app more closely. A useful alert draws attention; it does not remove the need to understand what happened.

What It Means for Users in Israel

Samsung also presents the interface on its Israeli One UI page, but a Hebrew page does not confirm that every AI feature supports Hebrew. The rollout announcement qualifies capabilities by country, language, model and application. Do not infer from the international feature list that a particular tool is already available to you.

Before installing, make sure important files are backed up. Before relying on a new capability, try a small task that is easy to check. Comparing a summary with its original document or an edited video with the full footage will tell you more about its value to you than a long feature list.
